I Work With Animals

My department has gone through many changes in the last six months. We have lost five people, which includes a boss. During this time we gained a new department manager and a new boss with a total six people. As I have said before my coworker and I have been getting along great. She is about five years younger, married, with a kid. Overall I LOVE working with her. Training her has helped me realize that I want to be a teacher or at least in a training role. Our little world is great and no she is not one of the animals I work with.

Three of my new coworkers are males and they are disgusting. They talk about gross boy things, fart, and make sexual jokes. I will have to say that they are nice guys and are actually good hard workers but they are a bunch of IT geeks and they just let loose all the time.

Today they were talking about the gross pranks they have pulled on their fellow coworkers; lets just say I will definitely watch my back. One of them told a story about taking another coworkers phone and rubbing in in their butt crack and then hooking it back up. Needless to say the unsuspecting coworker was on the receiving end of a “nasty” phone. Sometimes I’m amazed at how a grown man of 40+ in age can act like a 13 year old boy!

Tech Savvy

P5030002

My mom just got a new phone that allows for text messaging and its funny. She texted me as soon as she got the phone and told me she could text. I have to admit its been pretty entertaining hearing about her texting drama. I was texting her the other night while she was at work and we kept a conversation going through text message. I later talked to her on the phone and she was telling me how she liked it but work is getting in the way of texting. I can relate because I think work gets in the way of texting!! I love how my mom is getting tech savvy.

2yr House Anniversary

0729092040 (2)

It has been two years since Matt and I purchased our very first house on Fox Place. I remember when I convinced him to look at places and we searched the internet for four hours one night. We found four houses that fit our wants and headed out the next day to just look. We drove by Fox Place, which just happened to be by my dad’s old house and wondered how we never noticed it before. Matt called the realtor who was selling this house and asked if we could see it. A couple minutes later and we had an appointment to see this house and one other. An hour passed and we were meeting the realtor. This house was a foreclosure therefore there was no power but we had a flashlight. As soon as we walked inside a somewhat dark house we instantly fell in love. This house fit all our wants. Finished basement with a bonus room…check. Open living room and kitchen…check. Closet in the master bathroom…check. At least three bedrooms…check. Backyard with a deck…check. And lastly it was BIG. Much bigger than we realized from the outside and much bigger than we thought we needed or wanted.

After a grueling month of stress, tears, and happy thoughts we were moving in. Now its two years later and Matt and I love our first place. We have filled almost every room in our BIG house and even had room for a roommate. We have made some good and bad memories in this house and all the stress and tears were worth it.

Happy House Anniversary Fox Place….You will always be our first home.

I’m Lucky

100_0120

I was talking to a co-worker today about her husband and their relationship and it made me realize how lucky I am. I would never proclaim that my relationship with Matt is perfect because we have had our hard times but I love our relationship together. I love the little family we have created and all the wonderful memories that will forever be etched in my brain. Lately I have been realizing how lucky I am that God has given me the best man to marry. Matt has the biggest heart and loves his family more than anything. He puts his family first and believes blood is thicker than water. Matt is also the funniest person I know and can have me laughing so hard I am crying and can’t breath. He is always willing to help anyone who needs it and most of all he takes care of me and provides a great life for us. I am so proud of him and everything he is working towards and I can’t wait to add to our family someday.
